Revisiting the old: Chicken Biryani

After a long break, some nudging from friends and some inquiry from loved ones about my absence from this space pushed me to present some delights from my kitchen. While I relished the idea of cooking without having to take pictures and type out recipes, the feedback and response from those who had tried and tested recipes from my space was precious. Unexpected rains that brought a slight dip in the weather suddenly heightened the aromas of the spicy chicken biryani cooking for lunch. Accompanied with raita, pickles and pappad, it was perfect for the rainy noon.

The recipe for chicken biryani can be found here. Do try it and let me know how it turned out for you.

Hi J, glad you are enjoying your break. I understand what you are saying. First week after I stopped blogging, I felt very unsettled and then started enjoying the free time, really enlightening to know how much time it takes to blog! Although, I miss interacting with blog buddies, it's good to know that I can enjoy other things too without feeling guilty! :D

Btw, link to chicken Biryani doesn't show, redo it if you can. Workers have started on the downstairs wood flooring since Monday, I am stuck upstairs most of the time. We will be off to vacation from Dec 15th. Happy New year in advance, see you next year! :))

Hi Jyothsna,

I hadn't seen your original chicken biryani post so am glad to see it now! I have to make something for a holiday 'pot luck' lunch at my new job -- this might be just the thing! Thanks for the inspiration :)

I still have the complexities of biryani on my list of recipes to be challenged by. Another beautiful recipe offered online prompts me to spend my next day as a shut-in working it all out. Looks lovely, Jyothsna. Hope you are well!
